Welcome to our website!!

Saline Area Homeschoolers is a fantastic group of homeschooling families in the Saline Area (Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Dexter, Chelsea, Tecumseh, Clinton, Milan, Saline- and even Dearborn).  The age range in the group tend to be in the kindergarten/early elementary age (between about 3 to about age 8, the average being about 5-7 years old).  We are not affiliated with any religion, and are homeschooling for many different reasons. We are an open, tolerant, and respectful group of people who look to support each other through the journey of homeschooling with social and educational activities, classes, and friendship. Posted on this site is information on homeschooling, and local resources- please browse through as there are many wonderful opportunities in the area! You will also see information on our current classes and events.

We began meeting weekly in spring of 2008, with monthly field trips.  Beginning in Fall 2009 we expanded our plans to include meetings at a local school and gym, along with several field trips.  We are currently not accepting new members, however, if you are interested in being a part of the group you can sign up for a wait list-  please contact us!  Please note, requirements for membership include tolerance and respect of others of different beliefs, regular attendance, regular volunteering, and dues for room rental fees.  If registration opens, you may visit us to see if it’s a good fit, up to three times before agreeing to membership.
